Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data this website processes, why, and what rights you have. We are based in the Republic of Moldova and follow Moldova's Law No. 195/2024 on personal data protection. For visitors in the European Union and the UK, we also follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR. The article numbers below refer to the GDPR; Law No. 195/2024 contains the same rules. The short version: we don't use cookies, analytics or tracking. Your browser only talks to our own server unless you sign up for our newsletter, and we only store your email address if you sign up or email us.

Who is responsible

Visiting this website

When you open a page, our hosting provider automatically records technical information in server log files: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure.

• Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in running a secure website).
• Hosting provider: Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, United States. Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) that is part of its standard terms.
• Retention: Cloudflare keeps these logs for a limited period for security and operations. We do not have access to logs of individual visits and do not use Cloudflare's analytics.
• Transfer to the US: data may be processed in the United States. The transfer is protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, which are part of Cloudflare's data processing agreement (Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR). Cloudflare is also certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

Fonts

The fonts on this site are stored on our own server. No connection is made to Google or any other font provider.

Cookies and tracking

This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics, tracking pixels, embedded videos or social media plugins.

Newsletter

If you sign up, the form sends your email address directly to our newsletter provider, Buttondown, which also receives your IP address and browser information as part of that request. We use your email address only to send you news about our games. We only send emails after you confirm your address through the link in a confirmation email (double opt-in).

• Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email, or by emailing us.
• Service provider: Buttondown, LLC, 406 W Franklin St. #201, Richmond, VA 23221, United States, which processes the data on our behalf under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).
• Transfer to the US: your data is processed in the United States. The transfer is protected by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 (2) (c) GDPR), which are part of our agreement with Buttondown.
• Every email includes our postal address and a one-click unsubscribe link.
• Retention: until you unsubscribe. We keep a record of your consent for as long as we need it to prove that you gave it.

Contacting us by email

If you email us, we use your address and message to reply. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if your message relates to a contract, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. We delete the correspondence when it is no longer needed, unless we are legally required to keep it.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We don't track visitors across websites, so every visitor is treated the same whether or not your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. We do not sell or share personal information.

Children and age limits

Our games are made for players aged 13 and up. This website collects no personal data from visitors beyond the server logs described above, and it has no accounts, tracking or advertising.

Our newsletter is only for people aged 16 or older. In the EU, younger people need a parent's consent to sign up for services like this, and we don't collect that consent. If you believe someone under 16 has signed up, email us and we will delete their data.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
• have it corrected (Art. 16) or deleted (Art. 17)
• restrict how we process it (Art. 18)
• receive it in a portable format (Art. 20)
• object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21)
• withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that happened before (Art. 7 (3))

To use any of these rights, email contact@blankmeridian.com. You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority: in Moldova, the National Center for Personal Data Protection (datepersonale.md); in the EU or the UK, the authority in the country where you live.

Visitors outside the EU

We apply the GDPR standard to every visitor, wherever you live.

• United Kingdom: you have the same rights under the UK GDPR and can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
• California: the categories of personal information we collect are technical data in server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) and, if you give it to us, your email address. We share it only with the service providers named above, who process it on our behalf. You can ask us to review, correct or delete it by email.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects newsletter subscribers, we will tell them by email before it takes effect.
